20 get life over Assam lynching of duo mistaken for child-lifters
A Nagaon court has sentenced 20 individuals to life imprisonment for the 2018 lynching of two youths in Assam’s Karbi Anglong district. The victims were attacked by a mob on suspicion of being child lifters. The court acquitted 25 other accused due to insufficient evidence.
