WWE aired its February 6 episode of SmackDown from the Spectrum Centre in Charlotte, North Carolina. It featured two Elimination Chamber qualifying matches, Royal Rumble winner Liv Morgan appearing, and also saw the debut of former NXT Champion Oba Femi, with a night of explosive in-ring action.The show opened with Undisputed WWE Champion Drew McIntyre making an entrance, only to be attacked by Cody Rhodes. McIntyre ran off, and Rhodes entered the ring to cut a promo on McIntyre while addressing his own road to WrestleMania 42. The crowd was in full support of him as he promised McIntyre that he wouldn’t make it to The Show of Shows.
WWE Women’s Tag Team title match
The reigning WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions, Rhea Ripley and IYO Sky, defended their titles against No.1 contenders Kiana James and Giulia. Despite the challengers having early control and great effort, a combination of Riptide and Moonsault by IYO Sky on Giulia led to the champions retaining their titles.
The Miz vs Carmelo Hayes
This was a non-title match between US Champion Carmelo Hayes and his former partner, The Miz. The highly captivating match saw Hayes reverse Miz’s Skull Crushing Finale into a First 48 to pin his shoulders for the three count.
Tiffany Stratton vs. Lash Legend vs. Chelsea Green
This was a triple threat match to qualify for the upcoming Women’s Elimination Chamber match at the namesake PLE. The match was chaotic and also saw interference from Alba Fyre and Nia Jax. Despite that, Tiffany Stratton found her spot to connect with the Prettiest Moonsault Ever and win to secure her spot in the Elimination Chamber match.
Oba Femi vs. Kit Wilson
Kit Wilson cut a promo and invited a challenge from the locker room. The call was answered by Oba Femi, who made his main roster debut on SmackDown. He quickly squashed Wilson with a thunderous Powerbomb and picked up his first win on the blue brand.
Shinsuke Nakamura vs. Tama Tonga
This was a singles match between the former NJPW colleagues. It was a stellar match, but the MFTs provided continuous distractions that allowed Tama Tonga to hit multiple cut throats on Shinsuke Nakamura and pinned him for the victory.
Liv Morgan & Raquel Rodriguez vs. Jade Cargill & Jordynne Grace
The impromptu match was made by GM Nick Aldis following an in-ring confrontation between both sides. The unlikely pair of Jade Cargill and Jordynne Grace existed as a cohesive unit against Liv Morgan and Raquel Rodriguez. The match ended when Grace pushed Rodriguez towards Cargill and rolled her up for the win.
Randy Orton vs. Solo Sikoa vs. Aleister Black
The main event was the triple threat match to qualify for the Men’s Elimination Chamber match. Randy Orton, Solo Sikoa, and Aleister delivered an exciting showdown with high stakes involved.
