As WWE is going to host SummerSlam on August 2 and August 3, 2025, the Stamford-based promotion is back with another edition of SmackDown, which will contribute to the storyline development of WWE SummerSlam. As per reports, the August 1 episode of the Blue brand will air live from the Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey. In this edition of SmackDown, several superstars like John Cena, Cody Rhodes, Logan Paul, Charlotte Flair, Randy Orton, and Tiffany Stratton, among others, are all set to clash at the PLE and will also meet for the final time on the go-home show. Giulia (c) vs Zelina Vega – Women’s United States Championship
Giulia, the Women’s United States Champion, will defend her title in a rematch with Zelina Vega, the previous champion, now represented by Kiana James. Vega herself sought a rematch with Giulia on last week’s episode, but she was never granted one. As per reports, James said that Vega would be getting a rematch next week after speaking with General Manager Nick Aldis on behalf of the Champion.
