NEW DELHI: The Election Commission of India announced that the election of the Vice President of India will take place on September 9, 2025. The ECI has released the schedule according to which the last date for filing the nomination is August 21 and the counting of votes will also take place on September 9.As per Article 66(1) of the Constitution, the Vice-President of India will be elected by an Electoral College comprising the elected members of the Rajya Sabha, nominated members of the Rajya Sabha and the elected members of the Lok Sabha.This is a developing story
