When OpenAI’s Sam Altman said he was helping rival Anthropic
OpenAI CEO Sam Altman secured a deal with the Pentagon. This happened after rival Anthropic turned down a similar agreement. Altman reportedly worked to de-escalate a situation involving the Department of Defense. Anthropic was labeled a ‘supply chain risk’. Altman told employees they cannot dictate terms to the Pentagon.
