The West Bengal Central School Service Commission (WBSSC) has officially extended the last date to apply for the 2nd State Level Selection Test (SLST), 2025 for recruitment of 35,726 Assistant Teachers in Government Aided/Sponsored Secondary and Higher Secondary Schools across West Bengal.Originally scheduled to close on July 14, the online application window has now been extended to July 21, 2025 (5:59 PM). The deadline for fee payment has also been extended to July 21, 2025 (11:59 PM).Candidates who have not yet submitted their SLST 2025 online application can now apply on the official website — westbengalssc.com

Application fees for WBSSC SLST 2025

Applicants are required to pay the following examination fees while submitting their online form:• General and OBC candidates applying for either Secondary (Classes IX–X) or Higher Secondary (Classes XI–XII) posts must pay ₹500.• SC, ST, and PH candidates are required to pay ₹200 for the same.• All payments must be made online through the official portal.

Eligibility criteria for WBSSC SLST 2025

Candidates must meet the following educational and age requirements to be considered eligible for the respective teaching posts:For classes IX & X:• Graduate/Post Graduate with minimum 50% marks in either.• B.Ed. degree from NCTE-recognised institute or 4-year B.A.Ed./B.Sc.Ed.Age Limit: 21–40 years as on January 1, 2025 (age relaxation applicable)For classes XI & XII:• Postgraduate with minimum 50% marks.• B.Ed. or B.A.Ed./B.Sc.Ed. from NCTE-recognised institute.Age Limit: 21–40 years as on January 1, 2025 (age relaxation applicable)Reserved category candidates from outside West Bengal will be treated as General.

Exam pattern and selection process for WBSSC SLST 2025

The selection process for Assistant Teachers will be based on multiple stages as outlined below:• Written exam (OMR-based).• Evaluation of academic and professional qualifications.• Oral interview and lecture demonstration.• Merit lists will be prepared subject-wise, medium-wise, gender-wise, and category-wise.

Additional information for candidates
