Vinfast VF6, VF7 BNCAP crash test ratings out! Check safety report card
Vietnamese electric vehicle manufacturer VinFast, which is making a strong push in India under its planned $2 billion investment, voluntarily submitted its recently launched electric SUVs, the VF6 and VF7, for Bharat NCAP crash testing. The official safety results for both models have now been released. Here’s a quick look at how these models performed.

The VF 6 and VF 7 secured full 5-star ratings under the Bharat NCAP. The crash test results place both electric SUVs among the safest vehicles tested so faThe tests were conducted on India-made vehicles, with the VF 6 evaluated in Earth, Wind and Wind Infinity variants, and the VF 7 ratings applicable across Earth, Wind, Wind Infinity, Sky and Sky Infinity trims.
According to the official Bharat NCAP report, both models scored the maximum 5 stars in Adult Occupant Protection (AOP) and Child Occupant Protection (COP). The VinFast VF 6 recorded 27.13 points out of 32 in AOP and 44.41 points out of 49 in COP. The VF 7 performed slightly better, scoring 28.54/32 for adult safety and 45.25/49 for child occupant protection.

Detailed crash test data further other important figures. In frontal impact tests, both the VF 6 and VF 7 achieved the maximum 4.000 points for head and neck as well as upper leg protection for both the driver and front passenger. Side impact performance was rated at 16.000/16.000 for adult occupants and 8.000/8.000 for child occupants.The pole side impact test results were also well within safe limits. The head injury assessment values stood at 109 for the VF 6 and 131 for the VF 7, comfortably lower than the Bharat NCAP critical threshold of 700.
