NEW DELHI: A domestic dispute turned violent in Fasanganj Kachnaw village of Jagdishpur area on Saturday night when a woman allegedly attacked her husband with a knife and chopped off his genitals, police said on Sunday. The victim, Ansar Ahmad (38), was in a heated argument with his second wife, Nazneen Bano, when the incident took place, they said.Ahmad, who had two wives — Sabejool and Nazneen — but no children from either marriage, often faced quarrels in the household over the arrangement, police added.

Ahmad, seriously injured in the assault, was rushed to the community health centre in Jagdishpur before being referred to AIIMS Raebareli for advanced treatment. “Nazneen has been taken into custody and is being interrogated,” said Jagdishpur SHO Raghvendra.
