Narrating the incident in the video, the woman said she was travelling from Jaipur to Gurgaon in a bus. The bus had dropped her off at Rajiv Chowk. “While I was waiting for the cab, I noticed a man came around me. He was circling and he was constantly staring at me. Initially, I just ignored like the others do, but then I noticed that his pants were unzipped and he literally kept staring and started masturbating in front of me. He was very aware of what he was doing. He was just making me feel very uncomfortable and I felt very, very disgusted,” the woman said. She said she had booked a cab, but the driver was not answering her calls. “I had to book another ride just to avoid this creep man. Initially, I froze. I didn’t record. I didn’t hit him,” she said. The woman said as soon as she reached home, she posted about the incident on social media and tagged local authorities. “But there was no response, not even an automated message … I also tried 1090 (women helpline number), but nobody answered. The call disconnected,” she said. She tried to get an FIR lodged by calling the police. “But they said, ‘You have to come to thana for the FIR and all. We can’t register your complaint online’.”
