Actress Trisha Krishnan strongly condemned the remarks made by Nainar Nagendran, stating that she never expected such comments from a person holding a high political position. The issue created a huge debate on social media, with many supporting the actress. After remaining silent initially, Trisha chose to respond through an official statement issued by her lawyer. Her response was firm and clear, stressing that disrespectful words and personal attacks cannot be accepted under any circumstances.

In the statement released through her advocate Nithyaesh Natraj, she said, “This is with reference to the distasteful comment about my client which is circulating in the media. My client never expected that such distasteful and inappropriate remark would be made by a person holding a high stature in the State’s political space.” The statement also made it clear that she has always stayed away from politics. It read, “My client makes it very clear that she is not affiliated with any political party, nor does she intend to be. Further, just as my client had continuously maintained in the past, she has always taken a neutral stand when it comes to politics.”
