TMC Leader Shot Dead: TMC neta Razzak Khan shot multiple times, neck slashed; dies before reaching hospital in West Bengal | Kolkata News
KOLKATA: A TMC neta was shot and hacked to death around 500m from his Bhangar Chaltaberia home on Thursday night. Razzak Khan was returning home after a party meeting when the attackers shot him multiple times, and as he fell, attacked him with sharp weapons. Khan died before he could be taken to hospital.Canning East MLA Saokat Molla claimed, “This is the work of ISF-backed miscreants. Razzak was returning home after party work. The attackers not only shot him, but also slashed his neck. They should be arrested immediately.” Khan was known to be close to Molla.Police are scanning CCTV footage of the vicinity to track the killers and have interrogated several locals. “An autopsy will be done on Friday, but it is evident that the body bore both gunshot and deep wounds caused by a sharp weapon. There were multiple assailants. The assailants had allegedly come in bikes. The spot of the murder is next to a canal and deserted,” an officer said.
