SSC Phase 12 update: The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has released a corrigendum regarding the recruitment process for the post of Textile Designer under Post Category No. KK12324, which falls under the ongoing Phase-XII/2024/Selection Posts Examination. The update, dated June 19, 2025, comes as a significant correction to the original notification published on February 26, 2024, on the SSC’s official website.The changes specifically pertain to the essential qualifications and experience required for candidates applying to the said post. SSC has made it clear that recruitment for the position will be carried out strictly in accordance with the revised qualifications outlined in the corrigendum. All other terms and conditions mentioned in the original notice remain unchanged.Revised qualification and experience requirementsAs per the updated criteria, candidates must now possess either:(i) A Bachelor’s Degree in Textile Design or Fine Arts with Textile Designs as a subject from a recognised university or institute, and(ii) Two years’ experience as a designer in the field of textile designing, which should include working with appropriate motifs and colour combinations, design layout on paper, understanding various production techniques, and analysing and costing of handloom fabrics. The corrigendum now replaces these details to more accurately reflect the specific nature of the job role, aligning it with industry standards and practical expectations for textile designers.No change to other recruitment termsSSC has confirmed that all other provisions of the Phase-XII/2024/Selection Posts Notice remain unchanged.
