BHOPAL: Colonel Sofiya Qureshi‘s family members in MP’s Chhatarpur have demanded the immediate removal of tribal affairs minister Vijay Shah for his controversial remarks on the Army officer.The family have urged Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Union home minister Amit Shah and defence minister Rajnath Singh to take action against Shah, saying his comments have disrespected her service to the country.Col Qureshi’s cousin, Bunty Suleman, expressed his outrage, stating, “Sofiya is not just our daughter, she is the daughter of the country. She is the daughter of Army, and she lives for the nation. Minister Vijay Shah’s statement is condemnable and unforgivable.”Suleman said that BJP functionaries like Bhanwar Raja and the district party president visited their home and assured them that govt would take action. “They said that the Government of India will take action on the minister’s statement. They emphasized that Sofiya is the country’s daughter.”
