US ambassador to India Sergio Gor met NSA Ajit Doval on Wednesday to discuss security and geopolitical issues. The meeting took place amid the raging war in the West Asia region and US efforts to cobble together a multinational naval coalition to secure Strait of Hormuz.“Just wrapped up an extremely fruitful meeting with National Security Advisor Ajit Doval. Covered critical security & geopolitical issues. Strategic cooperation between the United States and India continues to advance,” said Gor in a post on X.India has said it prefers dialogue with Iran to secure safe passage for its ships awaiting clearance from Tehran.
