The Pittsburgh Steelers are revamping under the new head coach, Mike McCarthy. He is hoping for a much-anticipated reunion with quarterback Aaron Rodgers. Should he return, a wide receiver apart from ever-elite DK Metcalf could be on the receiving end of his short-area passes.USA TODAY’s Jacob Camenker suggests New York Giants wideout Wan’Dale Robinson. The 25-year-old has quick separation skills, which make him ideal for short-area passes. Rodgers threw 76% of his passes with fewer than 10 air yards in the 2025 season. It’s a strategy he uses to keep himself upright and not have any turnovers. And he’s also the fastest in the NFL [2.59 seconds] to throw the ball. The quick pace and short passes are a perfect fit for Robinson. So, how else does the wideout fit into the regime of Pittsburgh? Let’s find out.

Giants wide receiver Wan’Dale Robinson could be on the move during the 2026 offseason

New York drafted Robinson as their second-round 43rd overall pick in 2022. He recorded 268 receptions for 2,465 yards and nine touchdowns in 54 games for three seasons. With every passing year, his stats kept improving. From 93 receptions for 699 yards and three touchdowns in 2024 to 92 receptions for 1,014 yards and four touchdowns in 2025. He is an unrestricted free agent now, and ESPN’s Dan Graziano predicts the wideout would be the free agent most likely on the move this offseason. Graziano shares that New York thinks Robinson is a good slot receiver, but re-signing him could be expensive, especially because he led all wideouts with 622 yards out of the slot in 2025. The analyst questions if the Giants should use their resources to sign the wideout to a long-term deal.

Wan’Dale Robinson could be valuable addition to Steelers’ DK Metcalf and Roman Wilson

Metcalf recorded 59 receptions for 850 yards and nine touchdowns in 15 games for the 2025 season, while Wilson amassed 12 receptions for 166 yards and two touchdowns in 13 games for the 2025 season. These two are the primary wideouts currently on Steelers’ roster, as per Steelers Wire’s Andrew Vasquez. With a new offensive-minded regime in Pittsburgh and McCarthy as head coach, additional wideouts will be on the lookout this offseason. That’s where Robinson comes into the picture.Adam Thielen is retiring, Calvin Austin, Marquez Valdes-Scantling, and Scotty Miller are hitting free agency, and Pittsburgh’s offense needs a wide receiver of Robinson’s caliber. McCarthy might have another weapon in the Giants’ wideout-form other than Metcalf, and both of them could form a dynamic duo on the gridiron for Rodgers [if he returns].

Wan’Dale Robinson contract projection

According to Spotrac’s calculated market value, the New York wide receiver is projected to sign a four-year contract worth $70 million, which gives him an average annual salary of $17.6 million. Steelers Wire’s Andrew Vasquez predicts Robinson could sign a two-year contract worth $32 million.

If not Pittsburgh, then could it be Tennessee Titans?

NBC Sports’ Mike Florio reports that a widespread belief in the league is circulating that once the free agency window opens on Monday, Giants wide receiver Wan’Dale Robinson will sign with the Tennessee Titans. The wideout may reunite with his former head coach, Brian Daboll, who is the offensive coordinator there.
