NEET PG 2025 re-submission of exam city preferences begins at natboard.edu.in: Here is how to fill choices online
The National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS) has commenced the re-submission process for exam city preferences of candidates who are appearing in the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test for Postgraduates (NEET PG). The upcoming NEET PG exam is now scheduled to be conducted on August 3, 2025 in a single shift.Candidates who have registered to appear for NEET PG can now start submitting their revised exam city preferences at the official website, natboard.edu.in. The NBE authorities will accept preferences till June 17, 2025. The NEET PG exam was earlier scheduled to be held on June 15, 2025 in two shifts. However, due to the Supreme Court’s order to conduct NEET PG in a single shift, NBE authorities have postponed the exam date to August 3. This decision was made to ensure fairness and transparency in the examination process.
Why re-submission is required
To ensure smooth conduct and better distribution of candidates, NBEMS has expanded the number of exam cities to 233. All candidates, regardless of whether they had selected a city earlier, are mandated to re-submit their preferences. Previous city preferences will not be considered valid.
How to submit NEET PG exam city preferences?
Candidates can follow the steps below to successfully re-submit their test city choices:
- Visit the official website, natboard.edu.in
- Click on “NEET PG 2025” under the “Examinations” section.
- Use your User ID and Password created during the application process to log in.
- Access the “Select Test City” link.
- Select your choices from the updated list of 233 cities. You may need to provide more than one option based on availability.
- Double-check your selections and submit the form.
- Save or print the confirmation page for your records.
Allocation of new cities for NEET PG 2025
Candidates must remember the following important points before submitting their exam city preferences for NEET PG exam 2025:First Come First Serve Basis: Exam cities will be allotted based on availability. Once slots are filled, you’ll be assigned to your next available choice.OTHERS Option: If your preferred city isn’t listed, NBEMS has provided an “OTHERS” option.
