More Chinese links appear in ‘Nvidia AI chips smuggling case’
Chinese universities, including those linked to the military, reportedly acquired advanced AI chips from Super Micro Computer, bypassing US export bans. This follows charges against Super Micro co-founder Yih-Shyan Liaw and others for allegedly smuggling $2.5 billion in US AI tech. The company claims it’s a victim of the scheme.
