Reports have suggested that the film is set to premiere on the global streaming platform on March 27, 2026, the film follows the standard eight-week window after its release in Indian cinemas.

Hitting theatres on January 30, 2026, the third installment of the critically acclaimed franchise is produced by Yash Raj Films and directed by Abhiraj Minawala. According to OTTPlay, the ongoing multi-year partnership between YRF and the said OTT giant has established the platform as the permanent home for the studio’s extensive catalogue and future projects.

Reportedly, ‘Mardaani 3’ will enjoy an exclusive 56-day run in cinemas before arriving on OTT platforms. Following the industry’s standard theatrical window, the film’s producers aim to maximize its box-office performance ahead of its digital release. As per the same OTTPlay reports, the action thriller is set to premiere on Netflix on March 27, 2026, with streaming starting from midnight for subscribers.

‘Mardaani 3’ plot and characters

In ‘Mardaani 3’, Rani Mukerji returns as Shivani Shivaji Roy, a tough and fearless police officer. The film, called the “darkest and most intense” part of the series, continues to explore issues like human trafficking and crimes involving minors. In this 2026 film, Shivani takes on a dangerous case about a beggar mafia and the kidnapping of young girls, leading to a tense race against time. The story brings in a new villain, “Amma” (Mallika Prasad), who tests Shivani both physically and mentally. Directed by Abhiraj Minawala, who earlier worked on films like ‘Sultan’ and ‘Tiger 3’, the movie is written by Aayush Gupta.
