Johnson shared the moment with his mother alongside his wife, Cookie Johnson, and his kids. While Johnson initially wished her on August 5 with a heartfelt post on X, the NBA Hall of Famer recently took to Instagram to share the moments of her birthday party.

Magic Johnson and his wife, Cookie Johnson, alongside his kids, celebrated his mother, Christine Johnson’s, 90th birthday.The NBA legend shared a carousel of photos and video from the birthday party with a lengthy, heartfelt caption.“We had a beautiful event for my mother yesterday to celebrate her 90th birthday with family and friends. The theme of the night was how God has used her throughout her life! My mother has really been blessed in her purpose with the Lord. She was showered with so much love and appreciation during the night and we surprised her with her favorite musical artist Tamela Mann. The Breslin Arena on MSU’s campus was filled with the spirit of God!,” Johnson wrote on the platform.He added, “I want to thank superstar Tamela Mann and her multi-talented husband David Mann for coming and blessing not just my mother but all of the guests in attendance!”

Magic Johnson called his mother “favorite girl in the whole wide world”

Johnson has enormous love for his mother. Before sharing the birthday moment, Johnson wished her mom on X. “To my favorite person and favorite girl in the whole wide world, my mother, happy birthday!!!
