Madhya Pradesh shocker: Law student stabbed to death over jumping line at petrol pump; accused on the run

BHOPAL: A 22-year-old law student was brutally stabbed to death by three unidentified miscreants, reportedly over a petty dispute of filling fuel first at a petrol pump near Gate No. 3 of Minal Residency Colony in Ayodhya Nagar on early Wednesday. In an entitled manner, the accused allegedly insisted on refuelling their scooter before the deceased and his friend who were waiting in queue. When the victim objected to this, an argument broke out, following which the victim was chased, assaulted and stabbed by the accused. According to investigating officer ASI Manoj Sharma, the deceased, Sanskar Babele, 22, a native of Bina and a law student in Indore, came to Bhopal to meet his distant relative and friend Anmol Dubey, an engineering student. Both planned to return to Bina on Wednesday. Around 4:15am, they set out on a scooter to the railway station for tea before arriving at the pump. Shortly after, three youths on a scooter arrived and parked next to Sanskar and Anmol’s vehicle. They began pressuring the staff to refuel their bike first. Sanskar and Anmol objected. Enraged by this, the accused attacked both friends. As Sanskar and Anmol tried to escape, the attackers chased them, overpowered Sanskar, and assaulted him. One of the miscreants then pulled out a knife and stabbed Sanskar in the abdomen before fleeing the scene. CCTV captured the incident. The police are working on identifying the accused based on the vehicle registration number and have claimed to have obtained significant leads.
