Low battery but high drama: Women clash on Ahmedabad-Rajasthan bus over mobile charger slot; video goes viral

KANPUR: Chaos erupted on a private bus in the Panki area of the city when two women got into a fight over a mobile charging point, leading to a physical altercation. Upon being informed about the dispute, the police outpost in-charge chased the bus for about 1 km and brought the situation under control. Later, both women were fined for disturbing the peace.A video of the incident is going viral on social media. Inspector Panki police station Manvendra Singh said that the incident occurred on Friday. The bus was heading from Ahmedabad to Rajasthan via Kanpur.Around 7:30 pm, Parul Singh from Shahjahanpur boarded the bus with her brother Nitin, heading to Kanpur. The bus was driven by Sonu Vishwakarma, a resident of Jalaun, whose wife Renu was also travelling along with his friends Abhishek Singh and Saleem, also from Jalaun.Upon reaching the Kanpur border, a dispute arose between Parul and the driver’s wife Renu over charging a mobile phone. Later, the driver and his companions assaulted the siblings. When the bus reached near Armapur canal, Parul sought help from a sub-inspector (S-I) she spotted. SI Raj Kumar chased the bus for about 1 km, stopped it, and assessed the situation. The fight was over mobile charging. The police then took both groups to the police station and fined both women, Parul and Renu, for disturbing peace.
