Fans flocked to the internet to express their gratitude and love for him. Vanessa Bryant, Kobe’s wife, made the first wish as she shared a happy photo of the two of them together. Their daughter followed with an Instagram post and a story. Another L.A. Lakers legend, LeBron James, became the latest person to wish him.

For the Los Angeles Lakers, Sunday was a significant day because it was Kobe Bryant’s 47th birthday. On that occasion, many NBA legends flooded the social media to wish him. LeBron James was among the many of his peers who honored the former Lakers on his special day. Kobe Bryant was frequently paired against LeBron James during their NBA days. James has always shown the L.A. Lakers legend the respect he deserves off the court, even though they were enemies on the court. The two superstars engaged in 22 games against one another over the years.
