The Indian Street Premier League announced Bollywood superstar Salman Khan as the owner of its new Delhi franchise on Wednesday, following a successful Season 2 that reached 28 million viewers and achieved 47% growth in TV viewership. The tennis-ball T10 cricket league, backed by cricket legend Sachin Tendulkar and other prominent figures, continues to expand its presence as India’s largest sports and music carnival.The league’s core committee includes Tendulkar, Asian Cricket Council member and Cabinet Minister Ashish Shelar, Minal Amol Kale, and Suraj Samat. Notably, Dalhor’s performance earned him a position as a net bowler with the Kolkata Knight Riders in the IPL.
The league’s partnership with JioStar Network yielded impressive viewership numbers, with 27.9 million TV viewers and 47.4 million digital video views in Season 2.BARC data revealed that women made up 43% of the television audience, while 66% of digital viewers were under 29 years old.Player registrations for Season 3 trials have exceeded 4.2 million, with talent searches being conducted across 101 cities.
