‘How can you question our boss’: Reality show winner Pratham threatened for criticising murder accused actor Darshan in Bengaluru; files police complaint | Bengaluru News

BENGALURU: Reality show winner and actor Pratham M, 35, filed a complaint with police against two persons who allegedly threatened to stab him with a lethal weapon for his comments on actor Darshan, the prime accused in the Renukaswamy murder case.Pratham alleged that rowdies Bakery Raghu, Yashashwini, and others threatened him at 3.50pm on July 22. He visited Bengaluru Rural district superintendent of police C K Baba’s office and sought protection and also action against the accused.Based on his complaint, Doddaballapura Rural police registered a case under the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) sections 126 (wrongful restraint), 351 (criminal intimidation), and 352 (intentional insult with intent to provoke breach of peace).Pratham, in his complaint, stated that cinema promoter Mahesh invited him for a puja at Ellamma temple in Doddaballapura. After the puja, when he walked out of the temple at 3.50pm, a few persons took him to a nearby place where a group, including Bakery Raghu and Yashaswini questioned him for speaking about their “boss”. When he asked who the boss was, they told him it’s Sandalwood actor Darshan. They abused him verbally and threatened him with a dagger and knife. They showed him a photo taken in the prison barrack capturing Darshan and Bakery Raghu together.Pratham said he managed to get away from the place, but feared for his safety. When asked why he delayed filing a complaint, Pratham said some friends of Darshan tried to work out a compromise and, so, he waited for a week. But on July 28, he saw a few pages on social media claiming to be Darshan’s official fan pages, D Dynasty, D Kingdom, D Universe, and Devil Kingdom, and around 500 pages trolling him along with launching herbal attacks.A senior officer said: “We’re verifying the allegations made by Pratham. The witnesses he mentioned in the complaint are being asked to give their statements.”After giving the complaint, Pratham claimed that he would be on a hunger strike and protested at the SP’s office. He was vacated from the premises by police. Later, he went near the film chamber and protested; he was sent away from there by police.Director files plaint against fake X account slamming actorsSandalwood director and actor S Narayan filed a complaint with the police commissioner Wednesday about a fake X account created in his name by unknown persons. Through this account, they posted derogatory content about Sandalwood actors, including the late Puneeth Rajkumar and Sudeep. The fake X handle is ‘S.Narayan@Snarayanofficia’. Narayan requested the commissioner to take action against those posting, sharing, and forwarding incriminating pornography messages, comments, and videos by misusing his name and requested the removal of the account from the platform.His friend alerted him about the X handle on July 29 afternoon. The miscreants are sharing the content as if he was posting it. He said it’s an act to spoil his image in society and disturb his relationship with those personalities and families.
