NEW DELHI: Haryana YouTuberJyoti Malhotra has been remanded to four days of police custody after her arrest on charges of sharing sensitive information with a Pakistani national, allegedly linked to Pakistani intelligence. The Hisar District Court issued the remand order following her arrest for being in continuous contact with the Pakistani individual, news agency ANI reported.Interestingly, Hisar superintendent of police (SP) Shashank Kumar Sawan had said on Wednesday that they were yet to find evidence which could suggest that espionage-accused YouTuber Jyoti Malhotra had accessed any defence or strategic information. Authorities are scrutinizing her bank accounts and digital communications as part of the ongoing investigation, although no conclusions regarding her financial transactions have been reached yet.Malhotra’s diary entries, which have been circulated online, contain messages advocating for peace and an end to the bitterness between India and Pakistan, further complicating the case. The authorities have refuted rumors regarding Malhotra’s alleged conversion to Islam or marriage to a Pakistani intelligence operative. Investigations are ongoing, with central agencies also involved in the inquiry.
