Gurgaon kidnapping video goes viral: Man thrashed with sticks, bundled into car in bid to recover Rs 6.5 lakh | Gurgaon News
GURGAON: Two men, who allegedly kidnapped and assaulted a delivery partner following a financial dispute involving Rs 6.5 lakh, were arrested on Wednesday. The suspects — Jaybir (26) and Aman (21) — told police that the kidnapping was a “planned attempt to recover money”. Key accused Jaybir, who runs a transport business in Hisar, claimed the victim was a former friend. The assault took place near Southern Peripheral Road, where an emergency response vehicle team arrived, foiled the kidnapping bid and arrested the duo, both residents of Bhiwani. A group of attackers — including Jaybir and Aman — assaulted the victim with kicks, punches and wooden sticks before forcibly putting him into their vehicle. While threatening to kill him, they began to drive away. The assault was also recorded on a mobile phone camera, in which the victim was seen screaming and pleading in an attempt to escape. ASI Sandeep Kumar said, “Jaybir told police that in 2024, he sold a truck and kept the said amount from the sale inside his car. He alleged that the victim stole the cash and didn’t return it over the past two years. Jaybir and Aman, a salesman in a Gurgaon-based firm, intended to intimidate the victim into paying back the amount.”
