Elvish Yadav house firing case: Delhi Police arrest 2 shooters; Himanshu Bhau gang takes responsibility for attack, accuses influencer of promoting betting apps | Gurgaon News

NEW DELHI: Delhi Police have arrested two men in connection with the firing at the residence of YouTuber Elvish Yadav in Gurgaon. According to sources, the Special Cell in Rohini apprehended the two suspects, Adi and Gaurav, both residents of Faridabad. They are suspected to be the shooters who opened fire outside Yadav’s house in Sector 57 on August 17. Earlier, two days after Faridabad Police arrested a 19-year-old man who allegedly drove the shooters to Yadav’s house, Gurgaon Police on Sunday arrested another Faridabad resident who had allegedly provided the bike used in the attack. The Sector 40 Crime Branch team of Gurgaon Police arrested Jatin (24), a resident of Faridabad’s Parvatiya Colony, from his district on Sunday. Police said Jatin had been working as a Rapido bike driver in Gurgaon for the past two months. Gurgaon Police spokesperson ASI Sandeep Kumar stated, “He planned the crime with his associates and provided his motorcycle for the execution of the crime. The police team recovered the motorcycle used in the crime from his possession.” The attack, which occurred on August 17 in Gurgaon’s Sector 57, involved three masked men on a bike opening fire outside Yadav’s house. Over two dozen rounds were fired around 5.30am before the assailants fled. Yadav was not at home during the attack, and no injuries were reported. CCTV footage captured three attackers, two of whom were clearly identifiable, according to police. On Friday, Faridabad Police arrested Ishant alias Ishu Gandhi of Faridabad, who sustained a bullet injury to his leg after retaliatory firing by police. The encounter occurred around 4.15am, with five rounds exchanged before Gandhi was subdued. He is believed to have been riding the bike. Gandhi was charged with attempted murder of police officers and violations under the Arms Act at BPTP Police Station in Faridabad. Elvish Yadav’s father, Ram Avtar Yadav, said the family was inside the house when the attack took place. Meanwhile, the Himanshu Bhau gang has claimed responsibility, accusing Elvish of promoting betting apps that they allege have “ruined many households.” Police are currently verifying the authenticity of the gang’s claims.
