Dipika Kakar health update: Shoaib Ibrahim informs fans says ‘Surgery went well…bass thode pain me hai’ |
Dipika Kakar recently told her fans that she is facing another health concern after undergoing treatment for liver cancer last year. The actress has been diagnosed with a 1.3 cm cyst in her liver and was admitted to the hospital for a procedure. Now, her husband Shoaib Ibrahim has shared an update on social media, saying that she is doing fine.On Tuesday, February 24, Shoaib Ibrahim shared a message on his Instagram Story, saying, “Allah ke karam se aur aapki sabki duaon se Dippi’ procedure is done. All went well. She is also doing fine bas thode pain mein hai, but nothing to worry. Thank you once again for all your prayers.”

On February 20, Shoaib Ibrahim uploaded a vlog on his YouTube channel and revealed that Dipika Kakar had been suffering from severe stomach pain along with shoulder pain. He said the symptoms were very similar to what she experienced last year when she was diagnosed with a liver tumour. As her stomach pain worsened, they consulted a doctor. Following a check-up and a CT scan, they found she had developed another cyst measuring 13 mm (1.3 cm).In the vlog, Dipika had shared, “Along with the stomach, I have been getting the same shoulder pain for two days. That was alarming for us. However, the doctors are saying that the pain in the left shoulder is not because of that.”While explaining her experience, Dipika got emotional and said, “Yes, I was very scared this morning. But I’m grateful we found out in time. That’s why regular follow-ups are so important. Even if there is slight pain, don’t ignore it… see a doctor immediately. This illness can return, and doctors always stress the importance of timely check-ups. We have been following all medical advice, but sometimes things happen beyond our control.“She also revealed in the vlog, that the doctors might opt for immunotherapy this time. She said, “We don’t know yet whether the cyst is benign or malignant, but the doctor doesn’t want to take any risk. No doctor or patient would want to. So they will treat it the way we treated the previous tumour. I was on targeted therapy earlier, but now the doctor is planning to put me on immunotherapy.”Dipika and Shoaib completed 8 years of marriage on February 22. Instead of opting for a lavish anniversary bash, they went for low-key celebrations with family and friends at home.
