DGCA: IndiGo has pledged not to cancel flights | India News
NEW DELHI: The Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) Tuesday said IndiGo has assured it of “operational stability and no flight cancellations after Feb 10, 2026”, when the airline’s exemption from new flight duty time limitation (FDTL) rule ends. IndiGo management had met DGCA brass on Monday and made these assurances “based on the current approved network… crew strength, and the removal of the two FDTL exemptions approved on Dec 6, 2025,” the regulator said in a statement.“As per the latest weekly review meeting held Jan 19, 2026, IndiGo has reported adequate pilot availability against projected operational requirements.” The required and available pilot numbers as on Feb 10, 2026, are: 2,400 Airbus captains available against a requirement of 2,280, and 2,240 Airbus first officers available against a requirement of 2,050. tnn
