Child attacked by stray dogs in a village in Ludhiana

LUDHIANA: A pack of stray dogs attacked a child and seriously injured him in Jangpur village on Monday. The victim was identified as Hrithik. Local sources said that since the mother of the child had recently undergone an operation, his father, a migrant worker, had taken Hrithik and his two other children along to a construction site where he was working. They added that while the children were playing in the courtyard of the under-construction house, a pack of stray dogs attacked Hrithik, leaving him seriously injured. Sources further said that the victim’s siblings raised an alarm, following which people in the area rushed to the spot and rescued the child from the dogs. The injured boy was first admitted to a private hospital in Mullanpur and was later referred to a hospital in Ludhiana for further treatment.
