The Central Bank of India has issued a detailed notification regarding the application process for 275 positions of Specialist Officer in the areas of technology and risk. The recruitment process is through an online registration process, which began on February 28 and will continue until March 23.Applicants who meet the requirements may apply through the online portal at ibpsreg.ibps.in/cbisofeb26/. The online test is set to be held in April 2026, and the interviews will also be conducted in the same month. It is recommended that the application process be completed well in advance to avoid last-minute technical issues.Key dates and examination scheduleThe online registration process has begun on February 28 and will continue until March 23. The computer-based examination is slated for April 2026. Candidates shortlisted in the written examination will be called for interviews, tentatively scheduled for April 2026.The bank has indicated that no modifications will be permitted after the completion of registration. Applicants have to check their forms thoroughly before final submission.Steps for online registration completionApplicants have to go to the official portal and pick the new registration option. After inputting basic information, a temporary registration number and password would be generated and sent through SMS and email. Candidates are supposed to fill the application form, upload necessary documents, and pay the fee prescribed through the online mode.The “Save and Next” feature enables applicants to check the details before submission. A printout of the confirmation page should be kept for use in the future.Vacancy distribution across categories and streamsThe 275 vacancies are distributed across multiple streams, including Software Development in Java and Dot Net, Mobile Application Development, Database Administration, Digital Channel Management, Information Security and Cyber Security, Network Administration, Cloud Management, Windows and Active Directory Administration, Data Engineering, Data Science, DevSecOps, Risk Management, IT Officer roles, and Gen AI.Category-wise, 41 posts are reserved for Scheduled Castes, 20 for Scheduled Tribes, 74 for Other Backward Classes, 27 for Economically Weaker Sections, and 113 for the Unreserved category. Eleven posts are earmarked for Persons with Benchmark Disabilities.Eligibility criteria and service conditionsThe eligibility cut-off date is January 31, 2026. Most positions require a full-time BE or BTech degree in relevant disciplines or an MCA from a recognised university. Depending on the scale and post, candidates must possess between two and ten years of post-qualification experience. Certain roles require or prefer certifications in Oracle, Red Hat, VMware, Microsoft, Spring, and cybersecurity.Applicants must satisfy nationality conditions set by the Government of India. Serving employees of the bank may apply after completing three years of service but must resign from their existing position if selected. The bank has stated that the number of vacancies is provisional and subject to change.
