CBSE CTET city intimation slip 2026: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has released the city intimation slip 2026 for the Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET). It offers candidates an early indication of the city where their examination centre will be located. What the city intimation slip tells candidates

The CTET city slip will indicate the city of the exam that would have been allotted by the board. CBSE explained that though the board tries to allot centres in one of the cities chosen by candidates during the time of registration, the final decision rests with the board.Once a centre is allotted, it will not be changed under any circumstances, either due to personal or logistical reasons.CBSE has also stated that if the number of candidates in a particular city is too low, the examination may not be conducted there. In such cases, candidates may be assigned a centre in their second, third, or fourth preference city, or even in a completely different city.

CTET February 2026 exam date and shift timings

The CTET February 2026 examination will be held on February 8, 2026, in two shifts.

Paper II is conducted for candidates intending to teach classes VI to VIII, while Paper I is meant for those aiming to teach classes I to V.Candidates must report to their examination centres well before the reporting time mentioned on the admit card, which will be released separately.
