The Bihar School Examination Board (BSEB) has started issuing provisional appointment letters for teachers who will be involved in the Annual Secondary Examination 2026. These letters are mainly for teachers assigned to evaluate answer sheets and perform other confidential examination duties. Teachers who have updated their information online can now check and download their provisional letters from official websites. Hard copies of appointment letters for co-examiners and chief examiners are also being sent to District Education Offices. Heads of schools are responsible for collecting these letters through their authorized representatives. The BSEB has provided clear instructions to ensure no errors occur and only eligible teachers receive these appointments.

How teachers can access their provisional appointment letters

Teachers can download their letters from the websites biharboardonline.com or secondaryletter.biharboardonline.com. Teachers logging in will have to check a tick mark showing the mentioned details are correct in the said letter. This step is imperative in nature because, once confirmed, the provisional appointment gets ratified and the processing for examinations will go ahead seamlessly.

Hard copies and collection process

For co-examiners and chief examiners, BSEB will send appointment letters in hard copy form to the District Education Offices, mailed school-wise. The Head Teachers can collect the appointment letters from the district offices through authorized representatives. The school is advised to take proper care of it so that it does not get mixed up anywhere.

Who will not receive appointment letters

The board has made it clear that letters for provisional appointments cannot be issued to some groups of teachers. These groups include:

  • Deceased Teachers
  • Teachers who were retired or transferred
  • List of teachers in the black list
  • The teachers who are assigned duties in other subjects

This is an assurance that only eligible and practicing teachers are considered in the examination process, thus the confidentiality and integrity of examination are retained.

Reporting errors or discrepancies

If any teacher notices a mistake in the provisional appointment letter, corrections can be requested by sending an email to coemat-bseb-bih@gov.in. Teachers are advised to check all details carefully, including name, subject, school, and designation, to avoid any last-minute issues before the evaluation process begins.

Important notes for schools and district officials

The BSEB has reminded all Head Teachers, District Programme Officers, and District Education Officers to strictly follow the guidelines. The provisional appointment is not valid for answer sheet evaluation until confirmed by the teachers. Schools are responsible for ensuring that only authorized personnel collect and distribute the letters, keeping the process transparent and organized.By following these instructions, the Bihar School Examination Board aims to ensure a smooth and well-organized evaluation process for the Annual Secondary Examination 2026. Teachers and schools are urged to act promptly and carefully, checking all information and coordinating with district offices as needed.
