Bigg Boss Fame Abdu Rozik Detained in Dubai Over Alleged Theft Charges, Reports

Tajikistani singer, social media personality, and reality TV star Abdu Rozik was reportedly arrested at Dubai International Airport early Saturday morning on charges of alleged theft. The 21-year-old, who flew in from Montenegro, was detained by authorities around 5 a.m., according to a statement released by his management to Khaleej Times.According to India Today, Abdu Rozik’s team clarified that he was only detained, not arrested, and was later released. In an official statement, S-Line Project said, “First of all, he is not arrested, he was only detained by the police. Abdu Rozik gave his explanations and was released. Today he will participate in the award ceremony which will be held in Dubai.”The statement also refuted circulating reports, adding, “Information in media is not correct. We will take all legal action to protect Abdu Rozik and his image.”His team further hinted at more details to come, saying, “Believe us, we have a lot to say regarding this issue.”Meanwhile, Abdu himself appeared to confirm his release by posting a video on social media just hours later, showing him attending an event, seemingly unaffected by the earlier controversy.Abdu Rozik, widely recognised for his short stature due to a growth hormone deficiency, rose to international fame through viral musical content. His charm and comic timing won millions of hearts during his stint on Bigg Boss 16, after which he expanded his presence across entertainment, sports, and business.A longtime Dubai resident and recipient of the UAE Golden Visa, Rozik has performed globally and even entered the boxing arena with his debut at Coca-Cola Arena in 2024. He also launched his own restaurant chain, Habibi, in the United Kingdom. This arrest, however, adds to a growing list of controversies. In 2023, Rozik was questioned by India’s Enforcement Directorate over a money laundering probe involving a hospitality firm. Though not listed as an accused, his association with the case attracted considerable media attention.Abdu last appeared on Laughter Chefs: Entertainment Unlimited Season 2, hosted by Bharti Singh, alongside YouTuber Elvish Yadav. The unexpected legal trouble has left fans shocked, with many awaiting clarity on the serious allegations he now faces.
