Salman Khan had fans waiting months on end for his next big action venture – the upcoming war drama ‘Battle Of Galwan’. However, as the film’s release date draws near, new reports claim that there may just be a possible delay. With the film’s theatrical release on April 17, 2026 drawing close, a new report states that the production timeline of the film has allegedly been pushed back. A report on Bollywood Hungama states that as reshoots are still underway, it could make it challenging for director Apoorva Lakhia to meet April deadline.
‘Battle of Galwan’ to be delayedThe report states that the team had scheduled a one-week reshoot beginning February 9 at the Golden Tobacco Factory in Mumbai and also shoot some additional scenes before principal photography wraps up. Only filming is completed, the team will then move on to commence post-production work, which could likely push the release beyond the current release window.‘Battle of Galwan’ to be screened for Ministry of DefenceAs per the reports, another factor contributing to the possible postponement of the film, could be the mandatory screening for the Ministry of Defence. The makers will have to obtain the approvals before they can release the film on the big screens. The film is based on the real-life 2020 Galwan Valley clash between Indian and Chinese troops.The actor, who was last seen in the 2025 action-drama ‘Sikandar’, is also reportedly gearing up to being work on his spy film ‘Tiger vs Pathaan’ and the long-awaited ‘Kick 2’.
