NEW DELHI: Lionel Messi’s much-awaited GOAT India Tour 2025 is set to ignite unprecedented excitement as the Argentina legend embarks on a three-day, four-city journey across the country. The tour will conclude in the national capital, where Messi is expected to meet Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
Joining Messi for several legs of the tour are his former Barcelona teammate Luis Suárez and Argentina midfielder Rodrigo De Paul. According to Satadru Dutta, the promoter of the GOAT India Tour, both players will be part of the Mumbai events.In Hyderabad, the tour will be anchored around a special football clinic for young players. Parvathi Reddy, chief patron and advisor of the Hyderabad leg, said the clinic is designed to give budding footballers direct exposure to global greats.“It is mostly focused on the football clinic that Messi is going to have,” she said. “Rodrigo and Luis Suárez will also be part of the clinic along with the Chief Minister of Telangana. They will be training children, inspiring them, and giving tips on football.”The clinic will feature talented children, including those without access to formal training — reflecting Messi’s long-standing commitment as a UNICEF ambassador.
