Luthra brothers flee to Thailand: Goa police issue blue corner notice

GOA: Goa police on Tuesday issued blue corner notice against the owners and main accused, Saurabh Luthra and Gaurav Luthra, of Birch by Romeo Lane nightclub in Arpora, who fled from Delhi to Thailand. According to Goa director general of police Alok Kumar, the brothers reached Delhi’s international airport at 3am on Sunday and boarded Indigo flight 6E-1073 to Phuket at 5.30 am, just three hours after the blaze. “It shows their intent to evade police investigation,” Kumar said.On Monday, at Goa police’s request, the Bureau of Immigration issued a Look Out Notice (LOC) against the Luthra brothers. Kumar added that Goa police are coordinating with the CBI’s Interpol division to ensure their prompt arrest. After an FIR was registered on Sunday, a Goa police team traveled to Delhi with an arrest warrant for the brothers. Raids were conducted at both their office and residences, but they were not found. Notices under the relevant sections of law were pasted at their properties. Goa police confirmed they learned of the brothers’ departure through the Bureau of Immigration in Mumbai. Meanwhile, based on information from Goa police, Delhi Police’s crime branch apprehended Bharat Kohli from his residence in North Delhi’s Sabzi Mandi and handed him over to Goa authorities.
