NEW DELHI: Police have identified Kannada actress Divya Suresh as the alleged driver in a hit-and-run incident in Byatarayanapura that left three people injured. The accident occurred in the early hours of 4 October, when Kiran G and his cousins Anusha and Anitha were riding a motorcycle. They were reportedly struck by a speeding black car driven by an “unidentified” woman, who fled the scene immediately. Kiran (25) and Anusha (24) sustained minor injuries, while Anitha (33) suffered a broken leg and was admitted to BGS Hospital for surgery, according to the police complaint. A case was registered on 7 October under Sections 281 (rash driving) and 125(a) (endangering life or personal safety) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, along with other relevant provisions of the Motor Vehicles Act. CCTV footage later revealed that the car belonged to Suresh and that she was allegedly driving at the time, a senior police officer said. “Further investigation in the matter is underway,” he added.
