The climactic finale between India and New Zealand, held in Dubai, not only crowned India as champions but also became the most-watched Champions Trophy match in history.With 65.3 billion live viewing minutes logged for the final alone, the tournament has reaffirmed the growing global appetite for international cricket, especially in emerging digital markets.

According to the International Cricket Council (ICC), the Champions Trophy 2025 saw unparalleled global engagement:

The final match surpassed the viewership of the 2017 Champions Trophy final by 52.1%, making it the third most-watched ICC match globally, behind only the India vs. New Zealand semi-final and India vs. Australia final of the ICC ODI World Cup 2023.

Viewership in India: Multilingual and inclusive coverage

India, the tournament’s largest viewership market, saw record-setting engagement levels, driven by extensive and inclusive broadcast strategies:

  • Coverage on JioStar Network: 29 channels across nine languages
