Former India cricket captain Anil Kumble and several other cricket personalities paid tribute to Cheteshwar Pujara, who announced his retirement from all forms of Indian cricket on Sunday. Pujara, 37, concluded his career after playing 103 Tests, where he amassed 7,195 runs at an average of 43.60, including 19 centuries and 35 fifties. Pujara last represented India in the 2023 World Test Championship final against Australia. He retires as India’s eighth-highest run-scorer in Tests.

India’s T20I captain Suryakumar Yadav posted a brief message on Instagram saying, “Happy Retirement to you pujju bhai,” while former India spinner Ravichandran Ashwin wrote, “Well done puji.
