Bihar crash: Auto-rickshaw collides with Hyva truck on Daniyawan-Hilsa Road; 10 killed, 3 injured | Patna News

PATNA: At least 10 people were killed and three others injured when an auto-rickshaw collided with a Hyva truck on the Daniyawan-Hilsa road, under Daniyawan block in Patna district, on Saturday morning.Seven people died on the spot, while three others succumbed to their injuries at the hospital. Of the 10 deceased, nine were women, and the tenth was the auto-rickshaw driver.Patna DM Thiyagarajan SM said all the injured persons have been rushed to the Patna Medical College Hospital (PMCH) in the state capital here. The women were going to Fatuha in Patna district to have a holy dip in Ganga river on the confluence of Ganga and Punpun, the DM saidThe Patna civil surgeon has been asked to coordinate with the PMCH superintendent and endure proper treatment of all the injured persons, he added.All the deceased persons were residents of Renri Marwa village under Hilsa subdivision of Nalanda district and they were going to Fatuha in Patna district to have a holy dip in Ganga river on the confluence of Ganga and Punpun rivers, the DM said.The deadly incident occurred around 7 am on Saturday, Thiyagarajan said.Senior police officers are camping at the spot to assist the family members of deceased persons, he said.
