CBSE partners with NCB to launch nationwide anti-drug initiative in schools: Check details here

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has taken a decisive step to tackle the rising threat of substance abuse among students by signing a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB), Ministry of Home Affairs. The initiative aims to establish drug-free environments in CBSE-affiliated schools nationwide.The MoU will be signed on 3rd September 2025 at the CBSE Headquarters in Dwarka, New Delhi. Through this partnership, CBSE and NCB will launch joint awareness programs, workshops, and counselling initiatives designed to empower educators, counselors, and students to make responsible life choices.

Awareness programme for principals and counsellors

Immediately following the MoU signing, CBSE will host an Awareness Program for school principals and counselors, emphasizing the prevention of substance abuse. The program will provide actionable strategies for educators to strengthen their role in building safe and supportive school communities.
