NEW DELHI: Delhi Police have filed a chargesheet against Zikra, known as the ‘Lady Don’ and seven others in connection with the murder of a 17-year-old boy in Seelampur, officials said on Monday. The charges include murder, criminal conspiracy, and other offences.Here’s what happened?Kunal, a 17-year-old resident of Seelampur, was allegedly stabbed to death by two teenage boys. The incident sparked widespread tension in the locality.Zikra in police custodyZikra, a 22-year-old woman dubbed ‘Lady Don’ by locals, was taken into police custody for two days after being accused of abetting the murder. Investigators told the court that her custody was essential to trace the other accused and recover the weapon used in the killing.Police suspected Zikra had a direct role in orchestrating the attack and she has now been formally charged along with seven co-accused.

Inside the ‘Mastan gang’Zikra is believed to be associated with the Mastan gang, allegedly headed by Shoib Mastan, who is currently in jail in a robbery case. Police say Zikra was actively grooming a group of teenage boys to carry out crimes on behalf of the gang.She reportedly recruited 8-10 teenagers, including the two suspects who are currently absconding. Officers believe the murder may have been an act of revenge for a past altercation.A fascination with weaponsZikra is the mother of a two-year-old child and does not live with her husband. According to police, she had a known obsession with firearms. She frequently posted photos and videos with guns on social media and was previously arrested under the Arms Act for these activities.Another man under scannerInvestigators are also searching for a man named Lala, who allegedly stabbed one of the accused boys in a separate incident last year. Police believe Kunal’s murder could be linked to that earlier altercation, possibly as an act of retaliation.
