PM in Croatia: No solutions from battlefield | India News

PM Modi arrived in Zagreb on Wednesday and held delegation-level talks with his Croatian counterpart, Andrej Plenkovic. He said the two countries agreed that whether it is Europe or Asia, solutions to problems cannot come from battlefields, asserting that dialogue and diplomacy is the only way ahead.“We agree that terrorism is an enemy of humanity. Terrorism is inimical to forces that believe in democracy,” he said. The comments come amid an escalating situation as the confrontation between Israel and Iran intensified. India and Croatia looked to boost cooperation in defence, space and trade as PM Modi became the first Indian PM to visit the country. In a joint press statement following the delegation-level talks with his Croatian counterpart Andrej Plenkovic, Modi also said a plan would be made to boost long-term defence cooperation between the two countries, including training and military exchanges.He said India and Croatia have agreed that whether it is Europe or Asia, solutions to problems cannot come from battlefields, asserting that dialogue is the only way ahead.
