Luis Guevara died on June 16 in a jet ski crash in Florida

Luis Guevara was injured in a jet ski accident off Lido Key, Sarasota, Florida, on Sunday, June 16, 2025. Two jet skis reportedly collided head-on; each had two people. One of the watercraft kept Luis. Even while rescue teams swarmed in, he regrettably passed away. On Tuesday, the Orioles verified his death. They didn’t say what caused the death at first, but multiple reports later confirmed it was due to the jet ski crash. The Florida Complex League Orioles canceled games on Monday and Tuesday to honor their teammate.Mike Elias, the Executive Vice President and General Manager of the Orioles, released a heartfelt statement:“Luis was a beloved member of our organization, and we are devastated following his tragic passing.
