PM Modi chairs high-level meeting with top security officials amid escalating military tension between India and Pakistan
Prime Minister Modi convened a high-level security meeting with top officials, including the armed forces chiefs and Defence Minister, amidst escalating tensions with Pakistan. The meeting addressed Pakistan’s troop movements to forward areas and attempts to infiltrate Indian air bases, resulting in damage and casualties.

NEW DELHI: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday chaired a high-level meeting with the three armed forces chiefs, defence minister Rajnath Singh, CDS Anil Chauhan, NSA Ajit Doval, and top security officials amid the heightened security tension between India and Pakistan. The tensions with Pakistan have escalated as Indian armed forces have responded with equivalent force to Pakistani attacks on Indian facilities.Earlier today, the Indian army said that Pakistan army continued to move its troops to forward areas and that it has taken a ‘measured manner’ in response to ongoing provocations and escalations.

He added that India has reacted in a “measured fashion” to these escalations by Islamabad. Colonel Sofiya Qureshi detailed how Pakistan attempted to infiltrate via air at multiple locations, causing damage to equipment and personnel at air force bases in Udhampur, Bhuj, Pathankot, and Bathinda.
