National Institute of Open Schooling (NIOS) has announced the practical examination schedule for the April 2026 public examinations for Secondary (Class 10) and Senior Secondary (Class 12) courses. Students registered for the upcoming exams can check the practical exam schedule and download their hall tickets through the official portal.According to the official schedule, the NIOS practical examinations will be conducted from March 17 to April 1, 2026 at designated exam centres in India and overseas.The hall ticket was released earlier on March 10, 2026. Students who will appear for the exams can download their hall tickets by entering their 12-digit enrolment number on the official NIOS website.

As per the official website, the practical examinations for the April 2026 session will take place between March 17 and April 1, 2026.These exams will be conducted at Accredited Institutions (AIs) or examination centres assigned by the board. Students must report to their respective centres according to the schedule mentioned on their hall tickets.The practical exams are held before the theory examinations. The detailed date sheet for the theory exams is expected to be released soon on the official website. As per the usual academic calendar, NIOS releases the theory exam date sheet in March, a few weeks before the start of written examinations. The theory exams for the April session are likely to begin in early April 2026 and may continue till May 2026.

The hall ticket is a mandatory document for appearing in the examination. It contains important details such as the Candidate’s name, Enrolment number, Subject codes, Examination centre details, Exam schedule.Students are advised to carefully check all the details mentioned on the hall ticket. In case of any error, they should contact their NIOS Regional Centre immediately.Students can download the practical exam hall ticket available here.Students appearing for the practical examinations must carry a printed copy of the hall ticket along with a valid photo identity card to the examination centre. They are advised to reach the centre before the reporting time and follow all instructions given by the exam authorities.If a student is unable to download the hall ticket or finds any incorrect information in it, they should immediately contact their NIOS Regional Centre to resolve the issue before the examination begins.
