22-year-old walks into UP police station with nail hammered into head; father, brother booked | Agra News
AGRA: Bleeding and in severe pain, a 22-year-old man walked into a police station in Firozabad with a three-centimetre iron nail embedded in his head, alleging that his father and brother had done this to him while he was asleep. Police said that the man, Sunil Singh, managed to flee from home, reached Narakhi police station after travelling nearly 4 km in an e-rickshaw and sought help from officers, who immediately took him to a hospital. After preliminary treatment, he was referred to Agra for advanced care.In his complaint, Sunil alleged that in the early hours of Thursday, his father, Hari Singh, and brother, Ajay Singh, overpowered him at home amid an ongoing property dispute and hammered a nail into his head. “They caught hold of me while I was sleeping and assaulted me,” he alleged. He further claimed that this was not the first such incident, alleging that earlier this month, the two had driven a nail into his head and later attempted to portray him as mentally unstable by sending him to a de-addiction centre. However, family members, who run a small grocery store in the area, claimed that Sunil struggles with alcohol addiction and said he had been sent to a de-addiction facility for treatment.Police have registered an FIR against Hari Singh and Ajay Singh under BNS sections 115(2) (voluntarily causing hurt) and 351 (criminal intimidation). Narakhi SHO Rakesh Kumar Giri said, “An FIR has been lodged, and we are verifying the claims of both sides. Sunil is undergoing treatment and is stable.”
