Assam’s top recruitment body has abruptly withdrawn the Combined Competitive Examination (CCE) 2024 result, triggering confusion and anxiety among thousands of aspirants across the state.The Assam Public Service Commission (APSC), in a short notice issued from Guwahati on February 16, 2026, cancelled the result with immediate effect after detecting what it termed an “inadvertent error” in the notified outcome.
Official letter withdrawn, fresh list to be released soon
The Commission referred to letter No. 460PSC/CON/Exam3712024-2025 dated February 16, 2026, under which the result had been uploaded. That notification now stands invalid.The official notice stated: “Due to some inadvertent error noticed in the result notified vide letter No. 460PSC/CON/Exam3712024-2025, Dated Guwahati, the 16th February, 2026, the Result uploaded for Combined Competitive Examination- 2024 is hereby cancelled with immediate effect. After careful examination, the Commission will upload the fresh Select list within a short time.“The Commission has not disclosed the exact nature of the error, leaving candidates in suspense over the implications. The revised results are expected to be released soon on the official website, though a date has not been released yet.
