‘Dhurandhar’, hit a major milestone – the 50 day mark at the box office. However, sadly for he film, it collected its lowest-ever collection to date. The film starring Ranveer Singh and Akshaye Khanna in the lead, entered its eighth week at the box office, and did so on a rather low note.

After fighting off the competition and maintaining a collection above the Rs 1 crore mark, the film’s earnings fell to an estimated Rs 55 lakh, sacnilk reports. With this, the film not only scored its lowest collection to date, but also scored its lowest Friday haul.

‘Dhurandhar’ total collections

With Friday’s collections, the film’s total net earnings have hit an impressive Rs 831.5 crore. ‘Dhurandhar’ currently has a gross total collection of Rs 997 crore. With the extended weekend ahead, it remains to be seen if the film can put up one final fight and see it’s way past the Rs 1,000 crore mark.

Since its release on December 5, ‘Dhurandhar’ has been fighting off competition from all new major releases ranging from ‘Avatar: Fire ans Ash’ to ‘Ikkis’, ‘The Raja Saab’. However, 50 days down the line, the film seems to have finally met its match in the war film ‘Border 2’ which hits the big screens on Friday, January 23. After showing signs of a gradual slowdown at the box office, the film saw a huge dip in numbers in week 7, scoring its lowest collection to date of just around Rs 13.9 crore. With the film beginning a new week at the box office, with just around Rs 50 lakh, it remains to be seen if it can break another record and score the highest earnings of week 8. While the film has currently tied with Sunny Deol‘s ‘Gadar 2’ to land in the top 10 spots, It still has a long way to go to the top. ‘Stree 2’ currently holds the record with a total of Rs 4.55 crore.

As per box office reports, ‘Dhurandhar’ hit the Rs 294 crore mark at the overseas box office. Meanwhile, the film’s total worldwide haul is estimated to be around Rs 1288.9 crore.
